Privacy policy

The short version: this website stores as little about you as possible.

Quail Eggs Wales ("we", "us") operates this website. This page explains what information passes through the site and what happens to it. Questions? Email sales@quaileggswales.co.uk.

Enquiry forms

The contact and wholesale forms on this site do not send or store anything on our server. When you press send, they simply open a pre-filled message in your own email or WhatsApp app — nothing is transmitted until you choose to send it yourself, and we only receive what you send us. Emails you send us are used solely to answer your enquiry and fulfil your order.

Online payments

Card payments are handled entirely by Stripe, a regulated payment provider. Your card details are entered on Stripe's secure checkout page and never touch this website or our server. We receive only what is needed to fulfil your order: what you bought, the delivery or collection details you provide at checkout, and confirmation that payment succeeded. Stripe's own privacy policy governs their processing.

Cookies

The public website sets no tracking cookies. A single session cookie is used only within the site's administration area, for the site owner to log in.

Anonymous visit counts

We keep simple, cookie-free visit statistics on our own server so we can see how many people read each page: a count of page views, the page visited, and the website a visitor arrived from. To estimate daily visitor numbers we use an anonymised code that changes every day and cannot be traced back to you; your IP address is never stored, no cookies are set, nothing follows you between days or across other websites, and nothing is shared with any third party.

What we keep

We keep a simple record of shop orders (items, amount and Stripe's order reference) so we can fulfil them, along with any correspondence you send us. We do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone except where required to fulfil your order (for example, a postal carrier's label) or by law.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), you can ask us what information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email sales@quaileggswales.co.uk and we'll sort it promptly. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
