Terms of sale

Plain English, no small print tricks — how ordering from us works.

These terms apply when you buy from Quail Eggs Wales, based in Neath, South Wales. Ordering through the website, by email or by message means you accept them. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a UK consumer.

Orders and payment

Orders are placed through the online shop (paid securely by card via Stripe) or agreed by email or message. An order is confirmed once payment has been taken or we have confirmed it in writing. Prices are shown in pounds sterling and can change, but never for an order already confirmed.

Collection, delivery and postage

Collection is from the farm in Neath by appointment, Monday to Saturday — we'll confirm the address and a time with you. Local delivery is available across South Wales, and carefully-packed UK postage is available for table eggs and hatching eggs. Live chicks are collection only. Please check your order on receipt and tell us about any damage within 48 hours, with a photo, and we'll put it right with a replacement or refund.

Perishable goods

Eggs are perishable, so the usual 14-day change-of-mind cancellation right for online purchases doesn't apply to them once dispatched. This doesn't affect your rights if anything arrives damaged or not as described — get in touch and we'll sort it.

Hatching eggs

Fertile hatching eggs are selected from proven breeding lines, handled carefully and date-marked. Hatch results, however, depend heavily on postage handling, storage and your incubation conditions — all outside our control — so, as is standard for hatching eggs, we cannot guarantee a hatch rate and hatching eggs are sold without refund for hatch results. Eggs damaged in transit are replaced as above.

Live chicks

Chicks are sold healthy and lively at handover, collection only, in seasonal batches. Please satisfy yourself at collection; responsibility for their care passes to you when you take them home.

Wholesale

Trade supply is agreed order-by-order or as a standing arrangement confirmed in writing, including prices, volumes and delivery days. Either side can end a standing arrangement with reasonable notice.

The legal bits

Our liability is limited to the price you paid for the order concerned; nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Questions about any of this: sales@quaileggswales.co.uk.
